Give office furniture a second life! cellcentric donation campaign for Lebenshilfe Kirchheim e. V.

The fuel cell manufacturer cellcentric donates 3,545 euros to Lebenshilfe Kirchheim e. V. as the result of a successful campaign by employees at the Nabern site.

Kirchheim/Teck-Nabern – As part of the “New work environment” project – the creation of flexible workplaces at the cellcentric site in Kirchheim-Nabern – cellcentric employees had the opportunity to purchase functional office furniture on a donation basis and give it a second life in its new home. A total of 3,545 euros was raised, which was to be donated to a local organization. The choice fell on Lebenshilfe Kirchheim e. V., which cares for handicapped people with great commitment on a daily basis.

Andrea Engelen, Head of External Relations and Sustainability, and Anja Meisel, Head of Human Resources, presented this donation on behalf of cellcentric to Irmgard Schwend, Deputy Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Lebenshilfe Kirchheim, and Cornelia Klee, Managing Director of Lebenshilfe Kirchheim, in Kirchheim on April 10, 2024. “We are delighted to be able to support Lebenshilfe Kirchheim in its admirable commitment to enabling people with intellectual or multiple disabilities to lead independent and self-determined lives,” emphasized Andrea Engelen. “As cellcentric, we are once again expressing our commitment to the Kirchheim location.”

Cornelia Klee says: “On behalf of our residents, I would like to thank the managers and employees of cellcentric for their generous donation. We are using it to purchase some of the necessary equipment for the day structure for senior citizens currently being planned at the Saarstrasse site. This will enable us to offer our residents an everyday structure for their well-deserved retirement even after their active working life in the workshops for people with disabilities. The solidarity of the cellcentric company takes us a decisive step further on our path.”
